“There are no limitations to the mind except those that we acknowledge.” Napoleon Hill
Some History:
Two important books to me:
The Singularity is Near by Ray Kurzweil – The concept of humans transending biology is what I consider to be a new belief system for today, but that which will have a profound effect on humanity in the future. (lots of future blog topics to come from this)
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. – again, another belief system which is summed up by the secret in the title.
Blogs that have influenced me:
Mistersugar – by Anton Zuiker, a college buddy. It’s the first blog I ever read. And it opened my eyes to the world of blogging, open source software, and contribution. (thanks Anton!)
Avc – by Fred Wilson. The first VC blog I ever read. I remember being amazed by the fact that all these people were giving away the bank. “Why would these people be giving away all of their ideas like that?”, I often thought. Now I understand.
BubbleGeneration – by Umair Haque. I am always intrigued by people who attempt to tell what the future will hold. Umair is no exception. He has opened my eyes to what I have always felt was true, but could never put together in a coherent thought process. Umair has very effectively wrapped up the dynamics of the changing economics of media into a very potable discipline.

Dear AttentionGrab Blog,
Please pardon my absence. But don’t get me wrong, I love having this blog. I understand and accept that you have lofty ambitions for me. Those are ambitions which I share and embrace.
I’ve just been busy with life.

I’ll not be posting anything in the near future…busy with a project and the babies. Try back in January ‘07.
In the mean time, visit the Parker Family blog where I will be posting pictures every couple of weeks.
The first blog post is the hardest. I know this because I have already written the second and third ones.
Thus, I think I will write about why I am doing this.
I am completely amazed by some of the blogs I have read. The imagination, the intellect, the experience, the wit just blows me away. And […]
There is no question on how much huge value immigrants of all kinds add to our Society. However, as our country grows and matures, we need to properly maintain the flood gates allowing people into this country. Loss of control of our boarders indicates that we don’t value enough of what we’ve got. We need […]

Hi Jim,
Just wondering how you’re doing out there in Cyberspace. I just read an article about how Second Life is helping Autistic people, very interesting. I’ve been TOO busy lately but I haven’t totally forgotten about you. I’ll catch up with you sometime soon.
